The Grotto is a unique bouldering facility that offers six separate, 8' high bouldering faces in one compact footprint. This roofed facility offers a diversity of climbing obstacles for the beginner as well as the advanced climber. It is designed to be a long-lasting, low maintenance structure. The Grotto provides an excellent opportunity for organizations to introduce climbing to their clientele and participants. Three different sizes are available: 16'x16', 20'x20', and 24' x 24'.
All lumber used in construction is CCA treated, double kiln - dried material. The climbing surfaces are constructed using tongue and groove 2" lumber and are protected with a waterproof cedar-tinted sealant. The shingled roof provides protection from the elements, which allows for inclement weather programming. A 6" bed of pea sized river gravel, which provides a cushioned landing surface for the climber, surrounds the facility. The trademark diamond design on the back face provides climbers the opportunity to climb inside and outside without ever touching the ground.
