Cornerstone Designs, Inc. offers a selection of low challenge elements based on proven success in adventure programming. These close-to-the-ground events focus on developing problem solving skills that lead to growth in leadership, trust, cooperation, communication, and decision-making.
Low course elements can be connected to trees if available, or they can be installed using specially treated utility poles, which provide for better quality control and longevity. If built on poles, low challenge course elements are installed using locally acquired lumber and specially treated utility poles. The elements have an expected life span of over fifteen years (with proper maintenance). If built on trees, there would likely be frequent maintenance and repair, as trees will eventually grow over connection hardware. Regardless of whether your low course is built in trees or on utility poles, CDI builds according to the latest industry standards (ACCT) and utilizes construction materials of galvanized steel hardware. This includes all bolts, cable, cable clips and other connection hardware.
